Wrivio is one writing assistant with two modes. Cloud mode is ready without a model download. Optional Local mode uses a built-in engine so the text submitted for rewriting stays on the device.
On-device Local rewrites
In Local mode, the draft and rewrite instructions are handled by the embedded model on your PC instead of Wrivio's Cloud rewrite service.
Cloud when it fits
Cloud mode offers a quick path for routine work. It sends the submitted text and rewrite instructions through Wrivio's backend to the configured AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Local workspace data
Contexts, settings, and rewrite history are stored in Wrivio's local app database. You decide which rewrite mode to use for the content in front of you.

Wrivio (Local Mode)
A Local rewrite does not send the submitted text to Wrivio's backend or an external AI provider. Other app functions can use the network, including account validation, the user-initiated model download, update checks, billing, and diagnostics if you opt in. Diagnostics do not include rewrite text.
Local mode reduces third-party exposure in the rewrite path. It does not replace endpoint security, access controls, data-classification rules, or your organization's legal and compliance review.

Can our IT team evaluate Wrivio before rollout?
Yes. Test the production build on representative devices, observe its network behavior, and review its storage, update, authentication, and permission requirements against your software-distribution policies before a wider deployment.
What does Local mode require?
Local mode requires a one-time model download of roughly 1.1 GB or 2.1 GB and uses on-device CPU inference. Performance varies by hardware, so teams should test the selected model on the Windows devices they plan to support.
Which mode should our team use?
Use Cloud for fast, convenient rewriting where your policy allows external AI processing. Use Local for submitted text that should stay on the endpoint. Your IT, security, and legal teams should define the appropriate rule for each data class.
