How to Review AI-Rewritten Text
An AI rewrite is a draft, not an approved message. Better grammar can make a changed fact look more trustworthy, so review meaning before style.
Compare Facts First
Check:
- Names and roles
- Dates and times
- Amounts and percentages
- Product names and versions
- Links and filenames
- Owners and deadlines
- Required versus optional actions
Read the original and rewrite side by side. Do not rely only on whether the new version sounds plausible.
Check The Strength Of The Message
Rewriting can accidentally weaken or intensify intent.
Original:
The approval is required before release.
Bad rewrite:
It may be helpful to consider approval before release.
The second sentence is polite but changes a requirement into a suggestion.
Look For Added Claims
Delete any new promise, reason, statistic, policy statement, or emotional judgment that was not in the source. Pay particular attention to apologies and commitments:
We guarantee this will not happen again.
That sentence should not appear unless the sender has authority and evidence to make it.
Test The Action
Ask:
- Is the recipient clear?
- Is the required action visible?
- Is the deadline attached to that action?
- Could the message be misread?
- Does the tone match the relationship and severity?
Use A Review Context
Instead of asking for another broad rewrite, use:
Review this rewrite against the original. Flag changed facts, dates, amounts, owners, obligations, certainty, and tone. Do not rewrite again until the differences are listed.
Wrivio keeps the original and result in the same workflow so you can review before copying. Choose Cloud when cloud processing is suitable. Choose Local for text you prefer to process with the model on your PC after setup. Your organization’s information rules still apply.
